Daniel Bragg: Student – Footballer
Current Club: Gold Coast United- National Youth League

In 2008 Daniel had a major set back with his health and needed to undergo surgery for a Kidney Transplant.SST-PIC

All his surgeons and doctors told him that the chances of him playing football again were very slim.
Daniel has been training with us long before Futboltec was even established. We both believed in Daniel and his ability when others didnt.
Through his setback,he inspired us and we knew that Daniel wouldnt give up, we offered every bit of support we could to help Daniel reach his full potential. Along with the support and comfort of his family and friends he fought his way back to full health.
Two years on now, Daniel is leaving our program and joining Gold Coast United on a National Youth Team contract after being spotted by Miron Bleiberg (Gold Coast Head Coach)
Daniel will be moving to the Gold Coast and beginning his new journey, pushing his way in to a senior football set up.

We would like to Congratulate Daniel on this achievement and point out this story to all players and families , that with hard work, direction and the will to succeed anything is possible.
Daniel is a perfect example of the Player and Person we aim to continue to develop in our program and we wish him every success in his new challenge.

Below is a piece Daniel has written to the futboltec program;

After sustaining Acute Renal Failure in March 2008, surgeons and doctors told me that I was never going to play football again. Time passed and a Kidney Transplant was next on the list. After the encounter of being out of the game for just over a year, I lost a lot of motivation. On the other hand there was a part of me to take on this journey with open arms and prove people wrong. Once I started training with Jason and Glen Trifiro and Futbol.Tec, with their personal endevour to help me get back to the player i am today was all i needed to hear to get back onto the park. Being accepted by my coaches was what kept me happy and my love and passion for the game intact.
Since knowing these boys, their not only known as my coaches, they are family to me after
remaining positive through such a hard time they have gone above and beyond what I expected which has gotten me where i am today. From running kilometers, to every weight session to every touch on the ball it was a tiny step closer to fullfilling my dream of being a pro footballer.

I’m now training at full speed after two years have gone by and its taken me on many adventures and plenty more to come!
